Weaving Art Exhibition in Indigenous Sikka
Woven product is close to daily life of East Nusa Tenggara people. Woman or man still obeys to wear knitted dress for cultural, social and religious reason.
Specific motif and color have specific meaning. It also reflects social strata of user. For Sikka, woven product is a media to revere ancestors as the personification of natural force even it is believed that certain animal and plant motifs might keep away disaster.
