Heroic Music Performance
A music concert that deliberately takes heroism theme is held to commemorate Heroes Day. In this event, there will be top bands from various streams of music which can be enjoyed by the whole society for free.
Simphony for the Country
November 10th is a special day that has deep impression and history among Surabaya people which still remains to the present day. To commemorate the never-ending struggle of Arek-Arek Suroboyo in seizing the country's independence, a grand music show featuring young Indonesian musicians is held.
Surabaya Juang
Heroes Day always reminds the people of Indonesia, particulary Surabaya, to constantly have the spirit of nationalism. Therefore, this day has always been celebrated in the glorious way. As the previous years, there are some cultural events held starting from November 1st to November 10th, such as Performance Art 100 Statues of Heroes, Theatre Festival, Surabaya Jeep Carnival and also Short Films Festival. The celebration will be ended by Kolaborasi Ludruk Juang.
Surabaya Traditional Food Festival
East Java is not only known through the natural beauty and cultural diversity, but also a variety of traditional menu which is tempting. This festival is to preserve the unique culinary in East Java. The participants will be challanged to present interesting East Java menus, such as salad cingur, tofu mixed and many more.
Ciputra Golf Tournament
Ciputra golf seems to know how to encourage all golfers in Surabaya. An amateur golf tournament is held to celebrate their anniversary. It is an occasion where not only local golfers, but also national and international golfers will compete to win this tournament.
Surabaya 10K
International marathon race held by the East Java Government was attended by hundreds of international and national runners. They will show their ability to run 10km around Surabaya which start from Taman Surya.
Pameran Foto Museum
In order to commemorate Heroes Day, the public are invited to remember the struggle of the Heroes and also to look back the memory of the old Surabaya in Museum Photography Exibition held at Tugu Pahlawan Area for a month in November.
Tour Thematic Surabaya Heritage Track "Heroic Tour"
The theme of Suraabay Heritage Track in this November is Heroic Tour for it is still in the period of Hero Day. Various historic sites around Surabaya city, which witnessed the struggle of Arek-Arek Suroboyo in seizing the independence of Indonesia Republic would be enjoyed in this tour.
